Bay of Quinte Small Business Week Kick Off
October 18 @ 12:00 pm
Join us as we recognize entrepreneurial resilience and seize the opportunity to build the way forward.
The past 18 months have fast-forwarded long-term disruption. Let’s join together to discuss solutions and opportunities that lie ahead for Bay of Quinte entrepreneurs.
The purpose of the week is to highlight the importance of Small and Medium sized companies to the Canadian and local economies and this year it is more vital than ever.
The Bay of Quinte’s Small Business Week will run from October 18 to October 22. Small and medium sized enterprises (SME’s) make up 99.7% of the companies in Canada and employ close to 90% of all private sector workers. Every year the Business Development Bank of Canada takes a lead role in promoting this event and this year they have themed the whole week “Seizing the opportunity to build the way forward.”
Brett Prikker, Manager, Business Centre will be speaking on behalf of BDC for the Kick Off event.
Tuesday through to Friday there are workshops being offered to the local business community all designed to help businesses access the information they need to maximize their efforts to grow and develop. Some of the workshops will be virtual but also some hybrid workshops will be available to give attendees the choice of how they would like to attend. There is no cost to attend these seminars.
On Wednesday “Mingle on the Hill” will be an opportunity for networking with your peers from the Bay of Quinte Region.
So let’s seize the opportunity to build the way forward together.
