SUMMARY:Blair Yaranton Quartet – Kind of Groove
DESCRIPTION:Join us at UpFront Cafe for live music with “Kind of Groove”\, a high-energy ensemble built around deep pocket\, feel\, and musical chemistry. \nFeaturing Blair Yarranton (trumpet & effects)\, Martin Traynor (guitar & voice)\, Phil Woodard (bass)\, and Gary Buffett (drums)\, the group dives into groove-driven music that blurs the line between jazz\, funk\, and soul. Inspired by the electric-era explorations of icons like Herbie Hancock\, Freddie Hubbard\, and Miles Davis—while weaving in reimagined grooves and textures drawn from artists like Bill Withers\, Stevie Ray Vaughan\, and The Temptations—Kind of Groove delivers a sound that is anything but traditional. \nThis isn’t a sit-and-listen jazz act; it’s a dynamic\, feel-good jam band that locks into infectious rhythms and invites audiences to move\, connect\, and ride the groove. \nDoors open: 7:00 pm\nMusic: 8:00 – 10:00 pm\nTickets: $15 at the door\nLicensed venue

SUMMARY:RISE: Give to Gain
DESCRIPTION:RISE is a space for women to be seen\, heard\, and honoured. This annual exhibition is an invitation to all who identify as women to share their artistic voices—bold or quiet\, emerging or established—across painting\, illustration\, photography\, mixed media\, textiles\, sculpture\, and ceramics. \nAligned with International Women’s Day 2026 and its theme Give to Gain\, RISE explores what grows when we offer our time\, our stories\, our care\, and our creativity. What do we gain when generosity becomes a practice? When women lift one another\, what becomes possible—for ourselves\, for our communities\, for the future? \nRISE is more than an exhibition—it’s a gathering of voices\, a shared platform\, and a declaration that women’s creativity shapes culture. \nExhibition: March 6th-27\, 10:00am – 4:00pm (closed Mondays\, Weekends) \nFeatured Artwork: Angela Wiggins\, “I Am Here”

DESCRIPTION:RISE is a space for women to be seen\, heard\, and honoured.
