SUMMARY:St. Patrick’s Day Party
DESCRIPTION:In March of 2023\, a call was put out to assemble a crew for a St.Patrick’s day event in Deseronto. When the dust had settled around the shamrocks\, beer and whiskey the line up looked like this: \nSteve Tanner\, with a leaning towards the blues;\nDan Clost\, with a soulful voice and pickings and a celtic heart;\nTerri Clancy\, the talented artist from the end of a road;\nStephen Medd\, the historical balladeer and songwriter;\nRandy Stewart\, the man who knows no loves songs;\nRon Marshal\, the man from the country;\nCousin Gibbard Suede\, freshly released from the Witness Protection Program \nIt was a magical evening of song\, drink\, dance and so much more. It has been said it was legendary!\nWe dare to recreate this experience\, 3 years later and 30 minutes up the road at the Upfront Café\, on Friday March 13th. \nDoors open: 5:30 pm\nMusic: 6:00 – 10:00 pm \nNo cover – Pay what you can \nLicensed venue

SUMMARY:Rhythm & Ritual: A Cacao & Dance Experience
DESCRIPTION:We’ll open in circle with ceremonial cacao – warm\, grounding\, heart-opening\, and shared with intention. This is our moment to arrive\, drop in\, and tune the body and heart to the same frequency. A few breaths\, a simple intention\, a collective “okay… let’s go.” \nThen we let DJ N!X take the lead\, and our space becomes your dance floor. The music builds and the movement unfolds\, starting slow\, then playful\, pulsing\, and free. Guided at first\, then open to your own expression\, this is part ritual\, part release\, part dance party for your nervous system. \nYou might sway\, stomp\, shimmy\, shake\, or melt onto the floor. All of it belongs. There’s no choreography\, no talking once we’re moving\, and no judgment\, just beats\, breath\, bodies\, and presence. Move as big or as subtle as you want. Take breaks. Drink water. Lie down if needed. This is your dance. \nWe’ll close by easing the energy back down\, letting the music soften and the magic land\, grounded\, connected\, and glowing. Come comfy\, come curious\, ready to sip cacao\, and let your body take the lead.

SUMMARY:LIVE MUSIC: Chris Morris @ Meyers Creek Brewing
DESCRIPTION:Chris Morris is a folk singer based in Prince Edward County.\nA casually charismatic performer with a penchant for tall tales and a near exhaustive repertoire of songs to charm audiences of all temperaments\, musical stalwart Chris Morris has carved out a reputation as a popular\, in-demand singer/songwriter/musician on festival stages\, pubs and clubs throughout Eastern Ontario. \nKnown for invoking an atmosphere of unbridled fun\, storytelling moxy and musical dexterity to any stage\, Morris brings the same level of commitment to his sometimes wildly varied set list of classic covers as he does to his bitingly clever and unabashedly authentic original material\, making for a potent\, must-see experience. \nWhile it’s easiest to identify his delivery and style under the broadly inclusive Folk umbrella\, Morris cites the music of The Beatles\, Rolling Stones\, Bruce Springsteen\, country troubadour Hank Williams\, the psychedelic mastery of The Grateful Dead and jazzy machinations of Phish as equally inspiring alongside giants of folk such as Woody Guthrie\, Lead Belly – not to mention the iconic Bob Dylan and of course Kingston legends The Tragically Hip

SUMMARY:Halcyon Days: Ultra Vivid at John M. Parrott Art Gallery
DESCRIPTION:Local artist Briana Godden invites you to her first-ever solo exhibition\, Halcyon Days: Ultra Vivid\, which transforms Gallery One of the John M. Parrott Art Gallery into a surreal world where her captivating paintings come alive. Experience the full exhibition all March long at the Library Gallery\, 254 Pinnacle St\, Belleville. (February 28 to April 1) \nOperating under the moniker Lady Brazen Studios\, Godden is a Quinte West–based artist whose paintings combine surrealism with bold\, vibrant colour. Her work has been featured by Global News\, YourTV Kingston\, Umbrella Magazine\, and The Intelligencer\, and showcased in juried shows and festivals all across Ontario. Her paintings and limited-edition prints are held in private collections internationally. \nGodden’s paintings are defined by a signature combination of black-and-white subject matter punctuated by hyper-vivid colour. She uses digital collage as a foundation\, reimagining and remixing nostalgic imagery into distinct conceptual works. These designs serve as a reference only\, which she then freehand paints on canvas. Her artworks create a sense of transformation\, nostalgia\, and wonder\, reframing familiar scenes through a surreal lens that invites emotional and narrative depth. The Art of Surreal Life encapsulates the conceptual language of her practice. \nBased out of her home studio in Trenton\, Ontario\, Godden personally conceptualizes\, paints\, frames\, and prepares every original and print. Her evolving body of work reflects a commitment to craft and storytelling\, offering viewers a space where familiar moments reveal the unexpected.

SUMMARY:RISE: Give to Gain
DESCRIPTION:RISE is a space for women to be seen\, heard\, and honoured. This annual exhibition is an invitation to all who identify as women to share their artistic voices—bold or quiet\, emerging or established—across painting\, illustration\, photography\, mixed media\, textiles\, sculpture\, and ceramics. \nAligned with International Women’s Day 2026 and its theme Give to Gain\, RISE explores what grows when we offer our time\, our stories\, our care\, and our creativity. What do we gain when generosity becomes a practice? When women lift one another\, what becomes possible—for ourselves\, for our communities\, for the future? \nRISE is more than an exhibition—it’s a gathering of voices\, a shared platform\, and a declaration that women’s creativity shapes culture. \nExhibition: March 6th-27\, 10:00am – 4:00pm (closed Mondays\, Weekends) \nFeatured Artwork: Angela Wiggins\, “I Am Here”
