The Belleville Bucket List: Fall Edition

Fall is in the air! Here are a few of our favourite fall activities around Belleville. Be sure to add them to your bucket list to make the most of the season.

1. Visit the Farmers Market

One of our favourite times to visit the Belleville Farmers Market is in the midst of the fall harvest. Fresh produce, baked goods, hot meals and more await! Open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays all year-round from 9-5.

2. Take a Hike at H.R. Frink Conservation Area

Located just ten minutes north of the City, H.R. Frink Conservation Area is a popular hiking destination year-round. Enjoy the fall colours while you explore 12 km of trails through a variety of habitats, including forested trails along the Moira River and the Wetland Ecology Boardwalk.

3. Indulge in Fall Treats

Is there anything more comforting than walking into a bakery full of seasonal treats on a crisp fall morning? We can already smell the pumpkin spice and baked apples… Click here to see a complete list of cafes and bakeries in Belleville.

4. Take a Drive Through the Countryside

Head outside of the City and watch the colours change along the country roads. Not sure where to start? Try heading north on Hwy 37 and take our Backroads Tour with stops at Maple Dale Cheese, The Village Green and The Country Butcher Shop.

5. See What’s Brewing Locally

Platter of food

Patio season doesn’t have to be over just because it’s fall! Stop in at one of Belleville’s craft breweries to see what’s on tap and enjoy the patio as long as the weather allows.

6. Stroll Through the Old East Hill Neighbourhood

Crunch through the falling leaves and wander around Belleville’s Old East Hill neighbourhood, where you’ll stumble upon Glanmore National Historic Site and the Corby Rose Garden. If you’re fascinated by history and architecture, we also recommend taking a look at the Designated Historic Sites Walking Tour to learn more about some of the houses in the neighbourhood.

7. Hit the Green

Hit the green at one of the top golf courses in Ontario. Black Bear Ridge
and Trillium Wood are both beautifully maintained and are vibrant with the fall colours.
