Quinte Field Naturalists Present “Limestone Lands of the Quinte Region” with Robert Ormston
April 20 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Free
Our meeting this month explores the limestone rocks and landforms that are a familiar sight to those who know the Quinte region. What may seem like an ordinary rock, has in fact dramatically shaped the biodiversity of the region. This talk will explore how limestone surface geology shapes landscapes through its specific topography, chemistry, and hydrology, to create a variety of weird and wonderful ecosystems…some which are rarely found outside the Quinte region.
All of our meetings are free and open to the public. All are welcome!
