The Belleville Senators play in the American Hockey League and are the top-tier affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Ottawa Senators. They have been operating in the City of Belleville since the 2017-18 season, after moving from Binghamton, New York. The Senators regular season schedule includes 36 home games, played out of a 4,400-seat multi-purpose facility at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre between October and May. The Belleville Sens have graduated more than 60 players to the NHL since arriving in The Friendly City.
Some current Senators stars who jump-started their careers in Belleville include Drake Batherson, Josh Norris, Tyler Kleven, Jacob Bernard-Docker, Thomas Chabot, and Ridly Greig. The club has also helped to produce other NHL standouts like Nick Paul (Tampa Bay Lightning), Filip Gustavsson (Minnesota Wild), and Mark Kastelic (Boston Bruins).
Off the ice, Senators strive to be a leader in the Belleville and Bay of Quinte communities, with players, staff and fans giving back countless hours and more than $1 million in donations to various local community groups, organizations, and causes.
