Come in from the Cold

While the weather outside is frightful, Belleville has lots to keep you busy and entertained indoors all winter long…

Meyers Creek

Founded out of friendship and a love of beer, Meyers Creek has grown into a small-town industry, offering 18 tasty craft beers brewed on site, with some pretty crafty names to boot. With names like Stoney Lonesome, Auntie’s Apricot Ale, Fireside, and Midnight in Bellevegas, you’ll get the brewery’s sense of the adventure, innovation and local love.

The brewery also regularly host events and intimate concerts. All making for a great night out (or rather in).

Venture over to the Empire Theatre in the heart of downtown Belleville tocatch one of the many live musical performances, see a film at the Quinte Film Alternative (which has been presenting must-see Canadian and international movies for almost 30 years), or attend the Belleville Downtown DocFest (happening in February), Belleville’s annual documentary film festival.

If you enjoy unwinding with high-adrenaline activities, a visit to The Boiler Room Climbing Gym might be just what you need. With over 5000 square feet of climbing space and tons of boulder problems, you’ll be climbing to new heights instead of climbing out of snow banks.

You can throw all your cares away at DedEye Axe Throwing. Drop in and try your hand at this popular past time. It’s great for a date night or a group outing. Or join one of their leagues and make it part of your weekly routine.

Cracked Glass – in their new location at the Memorial Arena redevelopment has a beautiful collection of glass art to buy or sign up for one their workshops and learn about the art of crafting stained glass first-hand.
