The Shark 24 World Championship Regatta is coming to our region, and can be viewed on the Bay of Quinte from Meyers Pier, Victoria Park or Zwick’s Park.

The Shark 24 World Championship regatta has been granted to BQYC, by the International Shark Class Association  in honour of the Bay of Quinte Yacht Club’s 150th anniversary. The event runs daily from June 26 – July 3!

The Shark 24 is a 24 foot long sailboat, sailed by 3 persons, and is recognized by World Sailing as one of only 47 one-design keelboat classes. The Shark 24 World Championship is held annually, rotating between Canada and Europe, involving about 40 boats (120 sailors) from Canada, USA, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, plus international judges and race officers, and volunteers.
