Gallery 121 Late Summer Show

Our late summer show at Gallery 121 starts Tuesday, August 30th and runs until Saturday October 8th.Β  Our Guest Artist is the very talented and award winning pastel artist, Susan Typert, who uses pastels to capture the energy and essence of a range of subjects. Painted Truth: Indigenous Art Show

200- 1 Bridge Street East Suite 200 - 1 Bridge Street East, Belleville

Painted Truth : Indigenous Art Show Large Prints of Local Indigenous Women sharing their truth through art painted directly on their body will be displayed at She’s High On Vibes in Downtown Belleville. During the viewing donations will be accepted and given to the Language and Cultural Center in Tyendinaga in support of their amazing organization and offerings. Local Indigenous Artist Melissa Brant will be body painting Women throughout the month of September. Each photo will be powerful and unique. This project is being completed for free (body painting and printing photos) by Melissa in hope of giving Indigenous Women a platform to been seen, heard, respected and celebrated while sharing the importance and healing power of art, truth and connection to culture and language. “If you would like to donate in support of the project, I’m asking people or businesses to sponsor a model for $100. That would give me the ability to hire an Indigenous photographer for their session ($50), as well as offer them an honourarium for their time and energy. ($50).”
