Join us for staged readings of the three winning plays from this year’s Belleville Arts Festival Play Writing Competition featuring some of the Quinte Region’s finest actors. This year’s theme is The Susanna Moodie Era in Belleville: 1840-1879. The Belleville Santa Claus Parade is back on Sunday, Nov. 16! The parade will begin at Bridge Street West and Sidney Street at 4:30 p.m. and travel down Bridge Street through downtown Belleville before ending at the corner of Herchimer Avenue at approximately 7 p.m. Join us before the parade at Glanmore National Historic Site for pre-parade festivities including free admission from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Visitors can explore the historic house with its seasonal exhibitions and even make a simple ornament to take home. Rotary’s Reindeer Village will also once again be set up in Robin Jeffrey Park, complete with both light-up and live reindeer and free hot chocolate while supplies last. Don’t forget your letters for Santa and donations for Gleaners and the Firefighters Toy Drive!
Take in the sights and sounds of the holiday season with the Belleville Festival of Lights lighting display at Jane Forrester Park! This year’s display features three new installations: an interactive snowman photo frame, “Belleville” ASL finger spelling sign and a special display honouring the Kort family.
