Meyers Creek Brewing 60 Dundas St E, Belleville

Firewood Rescues Pop-Up We have the perfect thing for those hard to buy for folks in your life, just in time for Valentines Day! or any other day actually. Marks beautiful lathed creations add beauty to any room. A little bit about Mark Boates the creator of Firewood Rescues I am a carpenter and woodworker from Belleville Ontario. My love of woodworking began early with time spent in my dad’s workshop and working with my grandfather in the woods of Northern Ontario. About 7 years ago I acquired a lathe from a friend when she was clearing out her father’s workshop after he passed. I was instantly hooked, there was no turning back, no firewood pile was safe. I predominantly work with found wood, either from cutting down trees myself, or from already down trees, revealing the beauty within wood destined to become firewood became my passion. The artistic expression that wood turning provides ultimately became the perfect companion to the more structured world of carpentry. Most of my spare time that I don’t spend at my lathe finds me canoeing, hiking, camping and enjoying all things in nature.
