EARLY SUMMER SHOW – GALLERY 121 – JUNE 3RD TILL JULY 12TH, 2025

Please join the members at Gallery 121 as they present their delightful Early Summer Show. Our Guest Artists are Liz Schell and Carolyn Huff-Winters. Both are award winners in their chosen mediums. Liz’s handmade decorative dolls and tables will brighten the gallery with a colourful pop and sense of nostalgia while Corolyn’s charcoal and mixed media art will intrigue and charm you. The Featured Member Artist, Maureen Swann, will capture your imagination with her found objects sculptures and paintings.

Late Summer Show at Gallery 121

Our late Summer Show will include the eclectic work of our membership as well as the elegant carved woodwork of Marcin Stefanski. Featured Member Artist Elizabeth Fearon will join forces with Steve Armstrong in their show entitled “Small Meditations”. Steve will present interesting photographs of tiny objects while Elizabeth will display miniature carvings.
This show runs from August 26th to October 4th, with a Reception to meet the artists being held August 2-4 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Farms Open 2025: Quinte and Hastings

Farms Open is a celebration of our local farms, agritourism businesses and community in Belleville, Quinte West and Hastings. Visitors are invited to embark on a self-guided tour of participating locations, to meet the passionate growers, producers, and hosts behind the scenes. Learn about their unique offerings, products and hear firsthand why they love what they do. It’s a chance to connect with the people who make this industry thrive and experience the charm of our agricultural heritage. Participate in our Farms Open Passport Game! It is open to everyone attending to participate in, just pick up a passport form at your first stop and play the game for a chance to win a prize. Here’s how to play: Pick a passport from the first participant location you visit. At each location you visit, ask for your card to be stamped. You need a minimum of 3 stamps to be entered to win a prize. At the end of Farms Open, drop off your card with the last participant location you visit to be entered or at our office location. We will collect all the passports and those with 3 or more stamps will be entered to win one of 2 prize baskets. You will be contacted directly if you win.

10-Minute Play Festival

Theatre in the Wings 30 Bridge Street East, Belleville

Theatre in The Wings presents the Second Annual Canadian National 10-Minute Play Festival. From timely to timeless, from poignant to uproariously funny, our judges have done an outstanding job of picking seven engaging and entertaining short plays from over two-hundred entries, brought to life by an all-star cast in an intimate and unique setting. Tickets to see all seven plays are $25 each (including service charge) from Eventbrite or call (613) 403-7329 to reserve by phone. Evening performances on September 11, 12, 13, 18, 1 9 & 20 at 7:30 pm with matinee performances on September 14 & 21 at 2:00 pm.

Live Music @ Meyers Creek Brewing – Richard Wallace

Meyers Creek Brewing 60 Dundas St E, Belleville

Richard Scott Wallace is the former lead singer of the band “THE TRUTH HURTS”. Back in the nineties they played clubs in the Toronto area such as Stratengers and Lee’s Palace, performing their all-original music. Richard has been writing songs for years and has recently recorded a brand new album. The new record is called “STAB IN THE DARK and has a good mix of rock songs and ballads. He says he is grateful to have found an amazing producer by the name of Kyle Whittaker out of Strange Pumpkin Studios in St. Catharines, Canada.
