Ori Shalva is a Georgian family ensemble based in Toronto that sings the haunting visceral harmonies of Georgian polyphony, a UNESCO proclaimed intangible heritage of humanity.
Ori Shalva doesn’t just perform Georgian polyphony. When they sing the visceral harmonies of the millenia old musical tradition, they transcend space and time, and take you on a far-off musical journey of Sakartvelo (aka Georgia), a small and ancient mountainous country located on the borders of Asia and Europe.
Jack McAvoy is a dynamic solo acoustic artist specializing in rock, alternative, and folk covers. Known for his performances of familiar favourites by The Tragically Hip, Neil Young, Tom Petty, and more. With a rich background, including leading with the Kingston-based alternative rock band Enrights that supported acts like Sam Roberts Band, Theory of a Deadman and The Trews, Jack brings big stage experience, stories and fun to small-town Ontario stages. He currently also plays lead guitar for the Belleville-based group, Cat Named Earl.
Set in a suburban motel in the 1970s, The Wayside Motor Inn tells five separate stories that take place simultaneously on stage, creating an unusual theatrical experience for the audience to enjoy.
