Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks is a touching and human comedy about a formidable retired woman, Lily Harrison, who hires an acerbic dance instructor, Michael Minetti, to give her private dance lessons —one per week for six weeks— in her condo in Florida. What begins as an antagonistic relationship blossoms into an intimate friendship as these two people from different backgrounds reveal their secrets, fears, and joys while dancing. Our annual Fish Fry Fundraiser returns on Sunday, October 26 from 5pm – 7pm, featuring golden-fried fish, great company, and live music to warm up the fall season. His pieces are unique in style, minimalistic, intriguing, inviting and fired with hand made glazes. These pieces may be found in some of the most prestigious museums and galleries in North America. The realism and luminosity found in Barb McGuey’s oil paintings is spell binding. Barb’s focus is on the natural world through landscapes, flowers and animals. The Featured Member Artist for this show is Terry Hart. Terry uses natural beeswax that has been heated and applied to a board where it is fused, carved, and coaxed into landscapes, abstracts and city/rural scenes. Bridging Communities – Crochet Circle with artist/educator Emebet Belete
Emebet’s current art project is Bridging Communities, a large-scale art installation where community members will create crochet, and cover the downtown Front Street Bridge in stripes, blocks and patterns! Over the past year, she has taught and involved students in six area schools in the art of crochet.
Open for youth and adults, experienced and beginners, individuals, families and friends!
How You Can Get Involved:
Crochet a piece (or more!) for the bridge.
Join the organizing committee to help steer the project.
Teach others to crochet and share your skills.
Help distribute crocheting materials to participants.
Collaborate with your group or organization to crochet pieces.

Join us as we launch the 1st Annual Belleville Arts Festival, with historian and bestselling author Charlotte Gray, C.M. Ms. Gray is Canada’s most popular non-fiction writer and has written 12 bestsellers. Featuring a special piano performance by Mark Bond at 1:00.
This special evening commences Domestic Violence Awareness Month, featuring renowned author and journalist Lauren McKeon, who will share an unflinching, intersectional perspective to her work. Guests will enjoy an elevated culinary experience by Chef Sam Robertson, live piano music, an exclusive silent auction, and a book signing with McKeon. McKeon’s writing critiques the systems that keep women from taking a seat at the table and pushes us to ask: What’s beyond the folding chair? Her keynote will challenge attendees to think critically about power, gender, and what it takes to build new, equitable spaces. Currently Executive Editor of Non-Fiction at Harper Collins Canada, Lauren has held senior editorial roles at Toronto Life, Reader’s Digest, The Walrus, and This Magazine. Hockey fans are in for a thrilling showdown as NHL Alumni take to the ice at the CAA Arena, against local law enforcement officers in an exciting charity hockey game on Sunday November 2nd , 2025, at 2 PM. This special exhibition game will feature legendary former NHL players, giving fans the chance to see their favourite hockey greats back in action. With end-to-end rushes, dazzling dekes, and powerful slap shots, this game promises nonstop excitement. Fans will be on the edge of their seats as NHL Alumni take on the Law Enforcement All Stars reignite old rivalries and unleash their legendary skills in a competitive yet fun-filled atmosphere. This game is about more than just hockey; it’s about bringing people together, honoring our local heroes, and supporting an important cause. The NHL Alumni Benefit Tour supports the Special Olympics and supports the Law Enforcement Torch Run’s mission “To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities.” The events are the fundraising arm of Special Olympics Ontario, thus allowing staff and volunteers to focus primarily on the athletes.
