Belleville is in the Spirit of Giving!
Christmas Sharing Program
The Christmas Sharing Program is celebrating 58 years of supporting families in need, with the extra costs of food during the holiday season. Last year the program helped more than 3,000 adults and children to enjoy a Christmas. The cost of food and housing remains higher than pre-pandemic levels so the need for additional assistance at Christmas time remains high in securing donors, sponsors & volunteers.
If you are interested in becoming a sponsor or making a donation, or to apply to be a recipient of the program, visit: https://www.christmassharing.org/

Living Here

Conveniently nestled between Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, Belleville’s location makes it a great home for those who want access to the amenities of larger cities but prefer to live in a quieter community.
Belleville offers a more affordable cost of living compared to larger urban centres like Toronto or Ottawa. Housing prices are generally lower, making home ownership more accessible, especially for those looking for more space, a slower pace, or room to grow.
In 2024, Belleville ranked third in U-Haul’s Growth Index of top Canadian growth cities, following Calgary and Edmonton.
Belleville has a mix of housing options, including newer sub divisions, established neighbourhoods, waterfront condos, and historic homes. Neighbourhoods are family-friendly and schools, parks, and recreation centres are easily accessible.
Outdoor space and seasonal activities are part of daily life. Trails, waterfront access and nearby provincial parks offer options for year-round recreation. Prince Edward County—known for its beaches, wineries, and farmers’ markets—is just a short drive away.
Belleville’s economy is expanding, with employment opportunities in healthcare, skilled trades, education, and small business. Regional job listings can be found at workinquinte.ca.
The city saw more than 50 new businesses open in 2024, including restaurants, salons, fitness and art studios, and health clinics, contributing to a growing and active local economy.
