Rhymes With Orange Music Club is an inclusive gathering meant to encourage and develop new ideas. It’s a new concept – three hours once a month dedicated to taking us all into uncharted territory. Fashioned as more rehearsal than performance, it’s a safe space for new melodies and lyrics to take shape. Got a new song you want to try out? We’d love to hear it. Come join the Rev on Sunday for a monthly open mic/jam session. No official house band – UpFront Cafe provides the P/A system, 2 microphones, an electric baby grand piano, and a set of drums. Violin virtuoso, Dave Shewchuk, will interpret the work of Jimi Hendrix, the third in a trilogy of his takes on world-renowned musicians: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and now Hendrix. Dave incorporates a cello, a guitar and a saxophone to lay down a track, then picks up his Antonio Stradivarius Faciebat 1710 replica, by Vittorio Formaggia Fece, and brings a gasp from his audiences when he masterfully complements his recorded track. Dave has performed as a soloist from Ontario to Vancouver and everywhere in between, winning the hearts of audiences with stunning creativity and originality. Dave is also the current concertmaster of The Quinte Symphony. He will bring his incredible musical talent to the UpFront Cafe, 313 Front Street, Belleville, April 24, 2026.
