Sunday, November 17, 2024 – 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm
The Santa Claus Nighttime Parade has been delighting children and adults alike in Belleville for 26 years! (the parade dates much farther back, but we’ve capturing the magic of lights at night for more than a quarter century!)
The route runs along Bridge St. West to East – beginning at Sidney St. and ends at Herchimer. Floats will take a bit more than an hour to get to the end and it takes about an hour to watch. Enjoy the activities in the East Hill from 4 – 5:30 before setting up to watch.
Please adjust your travel plans around the city on Sunday, November 17
Road closures will begin at 2:30 p.m. for Bridge Street West between Palmer Road and Yeomans Street, and Sidney Street between Catherine Street and the entrance to the Loyalist Market Plaza, near Wendy’s (access will be maintained to both plazas at Bridge and Sidney through the south entrances). Once the parade begins at 4:30 p.m., additional road closures will be put in place, moving east along Bridge Street from Sidney Street. All streets along Bridge Street will be affected as the parade progresses along Bridge Street.
The estimated timeline of closures for the procession will be as follows (subject to change):
6-7:30 p.m. – Bridge Street East between MacDonald Avenue and Singleton Drive and be aware the intersection at Bridge & Sidney will be partially closed starting 2:30 to support access to parade vehicles.
4:30-6 p.m. – Bridge Street West between Palmer Road and Highland Avenue
5-6:30 p.m. – Bridge Street West between Highland Avenue and Pinnacle Street
5:30-7 p.m. – Bridge Street East between Pinnacle Street and MacDonald Avenue
If you’re enjoying from the East Hill, take in some of these “pre-parade” activities!
Bring your lawn chairs, bundle up the kiddies and get ready to see over 70 decorated floats, hear live music from local bands and choir groups, and wave to the big man himself, Santa!
