Bridging Communities – Crochet Circle with artist/educator Emebet Belete Emebet’s current art project is Bridging Communities, a large-scale art installation where community members will create crochet, and cover the downtown Front Street Bridge in stripes, blocks and patterns! Over the past year, she has taught and involved students in six area schools in the art of crochet. Open for youth and adults, experienced and beginners, individuals, families and friends! How You Can Get Involved: 
Crochet a piece (or more!) for the bridge. Join the organizing committee to help steer the project. Teach others to crochet and share your skills. Help distribute crocheting materials to participants. Collaborate with your group or organization to crochet pieces. Form a crochet group with friends or partners. Sponsor a pillar to support the project financially. Donate yarn to ensure we have enough materials. Contribute to the GoFundMe to help cover project costs
Join our French Conversation Circle and practice your French speaking skills. There is no registration for this free, drop in program. The French Conversation Circle meets in the second floor cookbook nook on Tuesday evenings at 6:00pm. Nervous about speaking in front of others? Learn to speak with confidence at Belleville Toastmasters! The Belleville Toastmasters Club has been helping people in Belleville, Ontario & the surrounding region for over 50 years. Our aim is to provide practical communication and leadership skills to help members become confident public speakers, presenters and leaders. You will find members who are just starting out and others who have years of experience. We offer a very supportive and encouraging environment to allow members to achieve their goals and improve their ability to speak in public. From September through to June, we meet the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm (and the fifth Tuesday of the month when it occurs).
