NHL Alumni Benefit Hockey Game

CAA Arena 265 Cannifton Road, Belleville

Hockey fans are in for a thrilling showdown as NHL Alumni take to the ice at the CAA Arena, against local law enforcement officers in an exciting charity hockey game on Sunday November 2nd , 2025, at 2 PM. This special exhibition game will feature legendary former NHL players, giving fans the chance to see their favourite hockey greats back in action. With end-to-end rushes, dazzling dekes, and powerful slap shots, this game promises nonstop excitement. Fans will be on the edge of their seats as NHL Alumni take on the Law Enforcement All Stars reignite old rivalries and unleash their legendary skills in a competitive yet fun-filled atmosphere. This game is about more than just hockey; it’s about bringing people together, honoring our local heroes, and supporting an important cause. The NHL Alumni Benefit Tour supports the Special Olympics and supports the Law Enforcement Torch Run’s mission “To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities.” The events are the fundraising arm of Special Olympics Ontario, thus allowing staff and volunteers to focus primarily on the athletes. FALL SHOW – GALLERY 121 – OCTOBER 7TH – NOV. 15TH, 2025 RECEPTION SATURDAY OCT. 18TH, 2025 The members of Gallery 121 are excited to show of their new works of art alongside those of Kayo O’Young, a famous potter and a well-known realistic, artist from Hastings. Kayo O’Young is recognized as one of Canada’s finest porcelain creators with his works being featured in two films. His pieces are unique in style, minimalistic, intriguing, inviting and fired with hand made glazes. These pieces may be found in some of the most prestigious museums and galleries in North America. The realism and luminosity found in Barb McGuey’s oil paintings is spell binding. Barb’s focus is on the natural world through landscapes, flowers and animals. The Featured Member Artist for this show is Terry Hart. Terry uses natural beeswax that has been heated and applied to a board where it is fused, carved, and coaxed into landscapes, abstracts and city/rural scenes. Please join us for refreshments and meet that Artists at a reception on Saturday Oct. 18th from 2-4 p.m.

Bridging Communities – Crochet Circle with artist/educator Emebet Belete
Emebet’s current art project is Bridging Communities, a large-scale art installation where community members will create crochet, and cover the downtown Front Street Bridge in stripes, blocks and patterns! Over the past year, she has taught and involved students in six area schools in the art of crochet.

Open for youth and adults, experienced and beginners, individuals, families and friends!

How You Can Get Involved:
Crochet a piece (or more!) for the bridge.
Join the organizing committee to help steer the project.
Teach others to crochet and share your skills.
Help distribute crocheting materials to participants.
Collaborate with your group or organization to crochet pieces.
Form a crochet group with friends or partners.
Sponsor a pillar to support the project financially.
Donate yarn to ensure we have enough materials.
Contribute to the GoFundMe to help cover project costs.

Belleville Arts Festival – Film Mixer with Patrick Crowe

This captivating film explores the life and legacy of Susanna Moodie, one of Canada’s most fascinating historical figures, whose writing captured the struggles and spirit of early settlers in Upper Canada.
