RISE is a space for women to be seen, heard, and honoured. This annual exhibition is an invitation to all who identify as women to share their artistic voices—bold or quiet, emerging or established—across painting, illustration, photography, mixed media, textiles, sculpture, and ceramics. Aligned with International Women’s Day 2026 and its theme Give to Gain, RISE explores what grows when we offer our time, our stories, our care, and our creativity. What do we gain when generosity becomes a practice? When women lift one another, what becomes possible—for ourselves, for our communities, for the future? RISE is more than an exhibition—it’s a gathering of voices, a shared platform, and a declaration that women’s creativity shapes culture. Create something beautiful, useful, and made completely by hand. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the art of cold process soap making—a traditional method that allows you to create rich, nourishing bars using high-quality, all-natural ingredients. Guided step-by-step, you’ll mix oils, work with lye safely, and explore how to customize your soap with natural colours, botanicals, and scents. You’ll also learn how to pour and design your batch for a beautiful finished look. This class is designed to be beginner-friendly, with a strong focus on: Understanding the cold process method, safe handling and best practices, creating balanced, skin-loving soap recipes, and simple techniques for colour and design By the end of the class, you’ll have your own custom batch poured and ready to cure—plus the knowledge and confidence to continue creating at home. Please note: Cold process soap requires time to cure. Your soap will need approximately 4–6 weeks before it’s ready to use, allowing it to harden and become long-lasting and gentle on the skin. All supplies and instruction are included—just bring your curiosity and enjoy the process. Location: Your Creative Junction – Bay View Mall (Access is outside the mall on the Tim Hortons side—look for our signs!) Cancellation Policy: Class registrations are non-refundable. If you’re unable to attend, your seat can be transferred to a friend or family member.
