    This special event is all about connecting families with the incredible organizations, programs, and resources available right here in our community. So many groups are doing meaningful work to support children and caregivers, and we are proud to bring them together in one space.

    To help keep the space safe and enjoyable for everyone, we kindly ask families to remember a few Press Play Café ground rules:
    – Socks only beyond the play gate
    – Children must be supervised by their caregiver at all times
    – No food inside the play space
    – No outside food or drinks please (leave the Timmies and Starbucks at home… ours is better anyway)
    – Coffee and snacks are welcome in the café seating area
    – Please respect the space and time so that all families can enjoy it
    Extra parking next door at the medical center or at the back of the building in visitor parking (please do not park in numbered spots – you will be ticketed)

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the art of cold process soap making—a traditional method that allows you to create rich, nourishing bars using high-quality, all-natural ingredients. Guided step-by-step, you’ll mix oils, work with lye safely, and explore how to customize your soap with natural colours, botanicals, and scents. You’ll also learn how to pour and design your batch for a beautiful finished look. This class is designed to be beginner-friendly, with a strong focus on: Understanding the cold process method, safe handling and best practices, creating balanced, skin-loving soap recipes, and simple techniques for colour and design By the end of the class, you’ll have your own custom batch poured and ready to cure—plus the knowledge and confidence to continue creating at home.     EARLY SUMMER SHOW – GALLERY 121 – JUNE 2nd– JULY 11th RECEPTION – JUNE 6th, 2026 The members of Gallery 121 are pleased to present their Early Summer Show, showcasing Guest Artists Emóke Wilson, Michael Amar and Featured Member Artist Cara Wilson. Cara is a multi-dimensional artist, whose primary medium is acrylic augmented with textural media and found objects. During her years as an international designer Cara absorbed a wide range of style influences and since retiring has embraced mixed media and is a creator of inspired landscape work. Cara has supported her development through local association memberships, and her paintings have been exhibited widely in the region. Emóke Wilson claims that art has been her best friend since childhood. Today she is also a Mixed-Media Artist, creating expressionistic, exclusive one-of-a-kind 2D and 3D works that are captured in unconventional works using bold colours, patterns and textures. Michael Amar is a well-known artist in the Hastings and Kingston areas where he has presented both solo and group shows, including at the Parrott Gallery. Michael is a master of many mediums including, but not limited to oil, sculpting, wood, copper, and inks.

    EARLY SUMMER SHOW – GALLERY 121 – JUNE 2nd– JULY 11th RECEPTION – JUNE 6th, 2026 The members of Gallery 121 are pleased to present their Early Summer Show, showcasing Guest Artists Emóke Wilson, Michael Amar and Featured Member Artist Cara Wilson. Cara is a multi-dimensional artist, whose primary medium is acrylic augmented with textural media and found objects. During her years as an international designer Cara absorbed a wide range of style influences and since retiring has embraced mixed media and is a creator of inspired landscape work. Cara has supported her development through local association memberships, and her paintings have been exhibited widely in the region. Emóke Wilson claims that art has been her best friend since childhood. Today she is also a Mixed-Media Artist, creating expressionistic, exclusive one-of-a-kind 2D and 3D works that are captured in unconventional works using bold colours, patterns and textures. Michael Amar is a well-known artist in the Hastings and Kingston areas where he has presented both solo and group shows, including at the Parrott Gallery. Michael is a master of many mediums including, but not limited to oil, sculpting, wood, copper, and inks.
