Cara is a multi-dimensional artist, whose primary medium is acrylic augmented with textural media and found objects. During her years as an international designer Cara absorbed a wide range of style influences and since retiring has embraced mixed media and is a creator of inspired landscape work. Cara has supported her development through local association memberships, and her paintings have been exhibited widely in the region. Emóke Wilson claims that art has been her best friend since childhood. Today she is also a Mixed-Media Artist, creating expressionistic, exclusive one-of-a-kind 2D and 3D works that are captured in unconventional works using bold colours, patterns and textures. Michael Amar is a well-known artist in the Hastings and Kingston areas where he has presented both solo and group shows, including at the Parrott Gallery. Michael is a master of many mediums including, but not limited to oil, sculpting, wood, copper, and inks. |

Join DM Cynthia on Thursday June 4th at 4pm to meet and discuss the campaign! She’ll answer your questions, ask you some questions, and put together a group (or two!) for a campaign. Cynthia is an experienced DM and local grade 12 student. We’re excited to have her kick off the first D&D meetup at Kafana! All are welcome for this inclusive group. If there are too many interested players, Cynthia will encourage others to step up to DM additional simultaneous groups. The proposed meetup time is Thursdays 4pm. June 4th will serve as a session zero, to meet the interested players and discuss the campaign and plan. June 11th is the proposed first campaign session. Interested players are encouraged to fill out the Google form interest form in advance so Cynthia can gauge how many people to expect. Filling out the form is simply an expression of interest. Final campaign(s) players will be determined at/after the June 4th meet and greet to ensure balanced groups with great gameplay. |

Get ready for an evening of live music with toe-tapping, heart-pounding, Rockabilly, Honky Tonk fun! Merging the sounds of rock n roll from the genres golden era with the countrypolitan sounds of the 1960s, at 20 years old Nicholas Campbell has gained himself a reputation as “the real deal”. Campbell first picked up the guitar at age 10 and was gigging by 11. Having found a fresh start during the pandemic, Nicholas began playing consistently with his band, The Meter Cheaters, who quickly rediscovered their groove as live shows began to become an option once again and they wasted no time in seizing the opportunity. The band worked to release Campbell’s debut album Livin’ and Other Western Ideas in 2021, combining elements of rockabilly, western swing, and good old-fashioned honky tonk. The result was a brisk, invigorating album that feels as fresh as it does familiar. In 2023 the band worked alongside James McKenty on the 2024 release of Gonna Have a Ball Tonight!, Campbell’s sophomore record; an eclectic collection of songs recorded live off the floor by McKenty. The band has enjoyed worldwide coverage and airplay since, spanning from across North America to Europe and beyond. 2024 also saw the release of He Said She Said, the first single from a third upcoming album. With the success of the first two albums, and new singles to come, Campbell and The Meter Cheaters have pursued a tour schedule of more than 195 shows a year, with highlights in 2025 being – multiple tours, working alongside Chris Spedding on “A Rockabilly Boogie”, a Tribute to Robert Gordon, opening for The Jim Cuddy Band, backing up recent JUNO award winners, Jake Vaadeland & The Sturgeon River Boys with Paul Brandt, and the anticipated release of Campbell’s 3rd album.
