Cara is a multi-dimensional artist, whose primary medium is acrylic augmented with textural media and found objects. During her years as an international designer Cara absorbed a wide range of style influences and since retiring has embraced mixed media and is a creator of inspired landscape work. Cara has supported her development through local association memberships, and her paintings have been exhibited widely in the region. Today she is also a Mixed-Media Artist, creating expressionistic, exclusive one-of-a-kind 2D and 3D works that are captured in unconventional works using bold colours, patterns and textures. Michael Amar is a well-known artist in the Hastings and Kingston areas where he has presented both solo and group shows, including at the Parrott Gallery. Michael is a master of many mediums including, but not limited to oil, sculpting, wood, copper, and inks.
The Parrott Gallery invites you to attend “Great Bands,” a spring concert presented by the Carpé Diem String Ensemble on Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Enjoy an afternoon of music that celebrates the great bands of our time. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to our annual Dance of Spring performance this June. The performance will take place at Centennial Secondary School on Saturday, June 6 at 2:30 PM.
This year, the performance will once again feature all QBSC students, highlighting the breadth and talent of our programs. We are especially excited to present a brand-new work by Canadian Choreographer, Robert Stephen.
