Join us for live music at Meyers Creek Brewing with Wade Barras, Canadian Folk Artist who has lived a number of different lives in a relatively short period of time. Releasing his melodic offerings under the alias Parliament of Owls, Barras is ready now more than ever to start sharing his stories with the world at large.
Barras, originally from Pembroke but having spent time in all parts of Canada, has established roots in the Seaway City and is ready to let his art do the talking from now on.
Rock Bottom Lodge is a secluded getaway on Rock Bottom Lake, somewhere in Northern Ontario. The fishing is good. The Friday Night Fish Fry is famous. It’s quiet…when Mel and Shirley aren’t arguing. At least it was until Josh shows up in the middle of muskie season…and the Hendersons and the Andersons and the newly-weds and Natalie and Binkie, her Shih Tzu…and Mel finally asks Shirley out on a date. Join us for the world premiere of this rollicking romantic comedy, written by Peter Paylor and developed with support from the Lighthouse Theatre Development Fund.
The grand finale of Belleville Jazzlicious, celebrating jazz during the City of Belleville’s Jazz Appreciation Month! Join us at the Belleville Club to see the brand new Crapshooters Jive Band. They will play two sets of jive favourites, followed by an open jam session. This is a free ticketed event – a ticket does not guarantee entry – first come, first served until the venue reaches its capacity. The Community Trees bare-root seedling giveaway is back on May 3 in Market Square behind City Hall (169 Front St.) starting at 9 a.m. Residents can select from a variety of native tree and shrub species including:

As these seedlings are in limited quantities, residents may pick up to five seedlings per household and no more than three of the same species. The event will run as long as quantities last however, supplies are expected to go quickly, so residents are encouraged to get there early.
