All the music, none of the pressure! We have had the opportunity to meet so many amazing musically inclined people who love to play but are looking for something more casual and cooperative than our open mic format. So join us for our unplugged jam session. Whether it’s a guitar, mandolin, cajon, ukulele, or other acoustic instrument, players of all skill levels are welcome, or just come to listen and sing along! So how’s a jam different? – A “jam” is any music played without preparation beforehand. This might mean that the music is undefined, or simply that the running order and the musicians are.

Steve Stacey is a throwback to the days of storytelling in song, contemplating life with humour, unique observations and truth that is too obscure to be a lie. Armed with songs about cars, lost love, drinking, and the occasional murder ballad, no topic is off limits. Steve will keep you on your toes, trying to figure out what he will say next. Working on a new album of original songs, Steve has 2 cd’s of original material “Sounded Good at the Time” and “Tall Tales Fibs and Outright lies” which was described in Exclaim magazine -Steve Stacey and company have carjacked Buck Owens, rear-ended John Prine and made off with (at least) a vat of homemade whiskey to create this set of infectious masterpieces..

Sandwich Spirits is Belleville’s own instrumental jam trio, serving up groove-heavy, free-flowing sets led by Nathan Mahaffy (drums), Alexandra Bell (keys), and Ian McKendry (guitar). You might recognize them from Grievous Angles or Bad Tractor—or from hanging out here at the brewery. Nathan and Alex also co-host the Night Kitchen Too, and Ian holds the honour of being the first artist featured on our taproom gallery wall.
