Our cultural diversity continues in 2024 as we celebrate 46 years of the Belleville Waterfront Multicultural Festival–one of the Top 100 Festivals in Ontario–from July 11 to 14, 2024 at West Zwick’s Park.
This festival has been about the food for 46 years. The Quinte Ethnic Festival as it was known in 1978 featured “pavilions” all over town, located at various churches and halls where each ethnic community shared their food along with music, dance, exhibits and information about their culture.
This free admission family festival is welcoming back our favourite foods from the Caribbean, India, Italy, Jamaica, Mexico, Philippines, Poland, Syria, Thailand and Tibet.
The food choices extend beyond the Village now with Greece and Haiti at the Pop-Ups on the Bay.
Daft’s Wandering Bar also joins us this year with a selection of licensed products including their easy drinking draft, wine, cider and maybe even a margarita!
Musical entertainment throughout the festival will feature international sounds along with classic favourites.
World’s Finest Shows is back with midway rides every day of the festival. Discounted all-day vouchers are available in advance at the Log Cabin on 5 Moira St. East for $36 (cash or e-trf only) until July 10. After July 10, ride-all-day bracelets can be purchased at the midway booth for $40.
The lineup for this event continues to build so stay up-to-date on the event website here or connect with the discussion on Facebook.
Take Bus Route #4 from Downtown Bus Terminal to Bay Bridge stops (noted below) to get to the festival for FREE during festival hours.
