Belleville Festival of Faith: Hinduism

The Belleville Festival of Faith (Jan. 19-25, 2025) is an educational, multi-faith event that showcases the diversity of local traditions and beliefs. Each day of the festival week, a different faith community hosts an hour-long talk with Q&A. *Queer Space* is an inclusive social gathering for members of the LGBTQ2SIA+ community taking place monthly at the Belleville Public Library. If you are over the age of 16 and looking to meet new people, make friends, ask questions, or simply spend an evening amongst other queer people, we’d love for you to join us. Children will read individually to a St. John Ambulance therapy dog (and her handler) in our 1st Floor Program Room where young readers can feel comfortable, confident — and have fun! After all, a dog will not correct you or make you feel awkward if you stumble. For Beginner/Reluctant Readers ages 5 and up. Sessions are 15 minutes each at 4:00, 4:15, 4:30, 4:45 p.m. To register for a session, call (613) 968-6731 ext. 2035.

Creative Fibres is a social circle for all fibre arts: knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, cross stich, embroidery, felt work, and more! French Conversation Circle

Join our French Conversation Circle and practice your French speaking skills. There is no registration for this free, drop in program. The French Conversation Circle meets in the second floor cookbook nook of the library at 6:00pm. Adult Chess Club

Belleville Public Library’s Adult Chess Club is for ages 18 and up. The club meets on Mondays at 5:30pm. Bring your own chess board or borrow one from the library and meet with fellow chess players for a friendly game. All skill levels are welcome.
