Don’t miss out on an extraordinary concert experience on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024 at 7 pm at the Bayside Secondary School: immerse yourself in the warmth of an African village brought indoors during the chilly Belleville winter.
The spectacle known as Cirque Kalabanté: Afrique En Cirque beautifully embodies the resilience, nimbleness, and exuberance inherent in African youth.
A fearless group of acrobats, accompanied by talented musicians, captivates the audience with their dynamic performance set to the lively beats of Guinea’s djembes.
Their choreography and acrobatics, both authentic and innovative, come alive against the backdrop of pulsating rhythms.
Yamoussa Bangoura, with the enchanting notes of the Kora, transports the audience “to a place where the diversity of traditional African arts are illuminated and combined with the virtuosity of a modern North American Circus performance,” according to their events page.
General admission tickets are $30, $10 for ages 13 and under with promo code UNDER13 and $10 for seniors 65+ with promo code SENIOR.
