The 2024 Quinte Exhibition will take place from August 29th through September 1st. Featuring Exhibits, Educational Displays, Demolition Derby, Truck/Tractor Pull, Poultry Show, Antique Car Show, Motorcycle Show. The Hollyrood Country Jamboree fan experience began in 2006, now drawing up to 1000 campers and 6,000 people over the four-day event. The Hollyrood Country Jamboree is a camping country music event, set up to create a friendly community atmosphere where fans can check out the wares of local vendors, make memories and share their love of country music! What started as an act of friendship escalated into a part time hobby that can now support bigger and better attractions on the 150-acre property. Since 2006, a portion of the proceeds has been donated to Camp Trillium, supporting programs for kids with cancer. Thanks to the fans and event partners and the generosity of our artists we are poised to take the jamboree to the next level as a larger community festival.
Gallery 121 at 48 Bridge St. East in Belleville invites you to attend our “Late Summer Show”. We are delighted to have two Guest Artists joining the Members of the Gallery to present their inspiring art. Bob Pennycook, a mixed media artist, and an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists will join us from Tweed to present his mystical real and imagined landscape paintings. Liz Schell, an artist from Kingston, Ontario, is well known for her whimsical dolls and her carved, curved, painted and re-assembled wood creations such as colourful and decorative boxes, planters and tables. The Featured Member Artist for the Late Summer Show is Ann Fales. Ann is a known locally and internationally by the Fibre Arts Community. Ann finds her inspiration in the tactile images she receives from the fabric. After touching and playing with the fiber she “surrenders to the ebb and flow of the threads” Please join the Members and Guest Artists for a Reception on August 31st between 2 and 4 p.m.
Opening on Saturday, July 27, Parrott Gallery welcomes Lisa Ferguson’s exhibit Whispers of the Wild. As one of our Parrott Shop artists, you will recognize Lisa’s engaging illustrative style in these mixed media pieces. Lisa‘s work is deeply rooted in her wonder of Ontario’s natural beauty. Of course, her very popular cards and prints will be available to purchase as well. On display in the Corridor Gallery from July 27 to September 14, 2024

Jess and Ben musicians from Belleville, Ontario together are the Happy Ghost Gang. They have been recording their original music and performing select cover material around the area for a few years. The music they make has been described as rural noir, provocative and moody. Shortly after settling on the name The Happy Ghost Gang, Jess and Ben were signed to The KeeP Records in late 2022 and released an album of original material in 2023.
