The Belleville Theatre Guild presents The Rock

Pinnacle Playhouse 256 Pinnacle Street, Belleville, Ontario

The Rock is an original play by the late Deborah Jarvis. Directed by Jeremy Henson During a family whale-watching vacation, and set against a backdrop of isolation, fearsome Atlantic storms, and excessive alcohol consumption, a young married couple’s future happiness is put to the test. Loyalties and secrets come to light, revealing the fragility of family bonds when under extreme scrutiny and circumstances. With much humour and some surprising plot twists, this well-crafted contemporary drama by Canadian actress/writer Deborah Jarvis, chronicles the delicate nature of familial relationships when they are subjected to intense pressure.

Looking for a fun new sport for your child to try? One that is affordable and offers scholarship opportunities? Check out Quinte Youth 10 Pin Bowling League!! League runs Saturday mornings at 9am starting September 7, 2024 and runs until the end of April. We are located at Quinte Bowl-17 Roy Blvd. Belleville Registration is $40 and weekly lineage of $18. Gallery 121 – 2024 Fall Show

Gallery 121 is delighted to present our Fall Show with Guest artists Jacquelin Morin and James Walt. Jacqueline ‘s acrylic paintings are a fusion of Impression and Realism, created with loose brush strokes using vibrant hues. Much of her inspiration comes in her studio on Salerno Lake near Minden Ontario, hence the title of this show “Life by the Lake”. James Walt, A.K.A. “The Grumpsy Woodturner” lives in Quinte West. James craftmanship is self- taught; often learning through You Tube different ways to transform wood blocks into bowls and vases. He sees the hidden gems in these blocks and then works to bring them to life. The Featured Member Artist for this show is Dona Knudsen. Dona is an award-winning watercolor artist and a member of two Galleries in Belleville. Her subject for this show “Negative Spaces Positive Places” is nature and includes unique perspectives and interesting techniques to create her enchanting images. and glorious flowers

Nikki is also a GrowthWheel Certified Business Advisor and the National Business and Membership Manager for the Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce, supporting Black businesses across Canada. Valentine’s Love-Brunch with live music by DIVKA at The Kafana

Enjoy some badass music by some badass women this Valentine’s weekend and celebrate a non-commercial, all-encompassing love-fest. Love your cat, love your sweetheart(s,) love everyone, or hate the world — all are welcome Sunday Feb 16th as DIVKA brings some old world rebel spirit to us via viola and bandura and their kickass vocals. This event is OPEN to all, but we STRONGLY RECOMMEND paying the musicians within your means. Sliding scale contributions suggested $10-20 per person. You can include a contribution up front with your RSVP, or onsite via cash or credit/interac. ALL funds go to the musicians. The Kafana brunch menu and bar will be available for your snacking and drinking pleasure. Brunch starts at 11am, music kicks off at noon.
