Unicorn Street Party and Scavenger Hunt

Belleville Downtown District Front Street, Belleville, Ontario, Canada

Join the Bay of Quinte Pride Committee as we kick off Pride Month with a Unicorn Scavenger Hunt downtown Belleville from 12-3pm, followed by the largest gathering of people dressed as unicorns in the world at Market Square. Everyone who completes the scavenger hunt will be entered into a draw for prizes (plus, if you have receipts from any of the participating businesses on the day of, you get extra chances to win). The draw for prizes is at 3:30pm with the counting for the world record at 4pm (the number to beat is 334). Bring your friends! Participating businesses are: Scalliwag Toys, Sparrow’s Gauge Piercing, Chumleigh’s, the Cookie Jar, Ideal Bike, The Shatter House Rage Room and Lounge, Happy Buddha, Paraphernalia Books n’ Stuff, Obi’s Kitchen, Doki Doki, UpFront Cafe, Boretski Gallery, urBasics (pop up shop at Theatre in the Wings) and the Belleville Farmer’s Market. So many great prizes to be given away from many of our sponsors and then some. No unicorn stuff? You can build your own horn at Scalliwag’s or the Market Square. Get unicorned up and come on out for this record-breaking event.

Philippine Madrigal Singers Concert

The Philippine Madrigal Singers, one of the world’s most awarded choirs and UNESCO Artists for Peace, continues their mission in upholding choral excellence and advocating music education. As ambassadors of goodwill, they aim to give inspiration for social good and transformation, and promote the message of tolerance and peace. After 13 years, The Madz are coming back to Canada! To celebrate their 60th year and to commemorate the 75 years of Philippine-Canada diplomatic relations, The Philippine Madrigal Singers embarks on a 3-month tour of Canada visiting the regions of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, Ontario, and Newfoundland! The Madz will also be one of the featured choirs at the Cantando Music Festival in Edmonton AB, Podium Choral Conference in Montreal QC, and HarbourVoices Festival in St. John’s NL. The Madz, has graciously agreed to a Fundraising Concert to be held on June 1, 2024 at 7:00 PM at Centennial Secondary School Auditorium located at 160 Palmer Road, Belleville.

Pickleball at Quinte Curling Club

Quinte Curling Club 246 Bridge Street West, Belleville

The 2024 Pickleball season at the Quinte Curling Club starts Monday, April 29 with new pricing and schedules. Sessions are open Mondays and Wednesdays, 10 am – noon and 6 pm – 8 pm. Drop in games are $9 each, including HST. For keen players, an unlimited play option is available for $200 including HST. The season will last 19 weeks excluding dates when the Club is unavailable: May 15, June 10, June 12, July 1, August 5 and September 2.
