GALLERY 121 PRESENT THEIR EARLY SPRING SHOW, March 12th – April 20th Our Guest Artist is Lynne Vegter. Her life-like oil paintings are transportive; often taking you to her cabin studio on Lake Waslekoon where she spends much of her time painting and taking photos that capture the wildlife, and glistening lake surroundings. Lynne comes to us from the Bancroft area where she has been involved with several galleries as well as teaching classes and participating in lobbying activities to benefit both the wildlife and environment. Our Featured Member Artist is Larraine Milligan. Larraine is a new member to 121, but she is far from new to the art world. As a member on the board of Theatre on the Wings and a prolific artist, she has shown in a variety of different venues. She describes her art in in four words: female figure, narrative, and line. Paintings consisting of one or several of: cold wax, original charcoal lines and oil, challenge the viewer to decide on the narrative beneath her female figure’s presentation. A wonderful show.
