Soup lovers—rejoice! Time to prep those taste buds and dust off your trusty soup spoon because Savour the Chill is back for its 20th anniversary in Downtown Belleville on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024 from 12 to 3 pm.
Savour the Chill was started 20 years ago by Brenda Foran as part of Winterfest in the Village. Foran will be one of the judges this year—a full circle moment for her.
“It all started with the planning of Winterfest in the Village 2003. I was asked to come up with a food contest for our downtown restaurants to highlight their businesses in the winter months,” Foran said.
“And here we are over 20 years later, still going strong with this event,” said the former owner of Bren’s Bakeshop & Cafe.
Get ready to savour a variety of soups as downtown restaurants battle it out for the ultimate titles: People’s Choice Award and Judges’ Choice Award.

New this year, the Downtown Belleville District is partnering with the Community Development Council of Quinte (CDC Quinte) and Doc Fest for an extra dose of community fun.
