Women’s Day Celebrations in Belleville

International Women’s Day is coming up this Friday, March 8, 2024.

To kick off Women’s Day, the Small Business Centre is hosting the Quinte International Women’s Day Market a day early, on Thursday, March 7.

“Quinte International Women’s Day Market is a one-of-a-kind interactive Business Event that brings together a diverse group of exceptional Women-owned and Women-led businesses,” their website stated.

The event will be held at Pentecostals of Quinte located at 490 Dundas St. West on Thursday, March 7 from 3 pm to 7 pm.

The Belleville Public Library will have a presentation by trailblazing aviation professional Lola Reid Allin called Highway to the Sky: Women in Aviation on Friday, March 8 at 3 pm.

Lola Reid Allin is a commercial airline transport pilot, flight instructor, scuba dive master, an award-winning author and photographer.

There will also be an International Women’s Day Celebration at Loyola School of Adult & Continuing Education.

The celebrations are open to the public at the school’s location at 250 Sidney St. on Friday, March 8, from 11 am to 12:30 pm.
