Race Pace Coffee Co., a family-run business devoted to small-batch coffee bean roasting, began selling its freshly-roasted beans in 2019 and already has a devoted following.
Owners Becky and James Langman started roasting beans for home use a few years ago. Before long, they were supplying beans to family, friends and neighbours. In 2019, they mentioned on Instagram that they had beans for sale. The response was immediate. “We never expected this to grow so fast,” says Becky.
Race Pace offers single-origin beans at different roast levels from medium to dark, plus an espresso roast blend. Their clever packaging based on their shared love of running, features different races, including 10k, Half and Full Marathon – the longer the run, the longer the roast.
Want to take some of their Belleville roasted beans home? They are available at several locations in the city, including Gilmour’s Market.
