On Saturday, November 11th, at 11 a.m., the Belleville Veterans Council invites the community to gather at the Belleville Cenotaph on Station Street to commemorate Remembrance Day.
This solemn occasion holds immense significance, as we come together to pay tribute to the heroes who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
The ceremony, which will be graced by the presence of the Mayor and Council, is scheduled to commence at 11 a.m.
However, attendees are kindly requested to arrive at 10:30 a.m., giving them time to find their places and join in the collective reflection.
The Belleville Cenotaph, a symbol of our city’s respect and gratitude, becomes the focal point of this gathering.
It is here that wreaths are laid, and moments of silence are observed in memory of those who lost their lives in conflicts throughout history.
The phrase “Lest We Forget” serves as a poignant reminder that the memory of our heroes must never fade.
It is a pledge to carry their legacy forward and to ensure that the sacrifices they made were not in vain.
