Belleville’s Santa Claus Nighttime Parade

Sunday, November 17, 2024 – 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm The Santa Claus Nighttime Parade has been delighting children and adults alike in Belleville for 26 years! (the parade dates much farther back, but capturing the magic of lights at night – it’s been more than a quarter century!) The route runs along Bridge St. West to East – beginning at Sidney St. and ends at Herchimer. Floats will take a bit more than an hour to get to the end and it takes about an hour to watch.

Woodland Wellness Series: Walking in the Woods

Join nature enthusiast, Donna Kaye, as she guides you through a refreshing and restorative trail experience across 10 conservation areas. These 2-hour long ‘Walking in the Woods’ events will run from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm on Mondays from September 16 – November 25. IN THE BAY OF QUINTE: Monday, September 16 at H.R. Frink Conservation Area Monday, November 4 at Sidney Conservation Area Monday, November 18 at North Potter’s Creek Conservation Area REGISTRATION REQUIRED Donna is recently retired from her career as a Forest & Nature School Practitioner and Early Childhood Educator. She enjoys exploring the beauty of the natural world through her hiking and gardening hobbies and is the co-author of a new nature inspired children’s book titled ‘Move Along Huxley and Roscoe’.

Gallery 121 – 2024 Fall Show

Gallery 121 is delighted to present our Fall Show with Guest artists Jacquelin Morin and James Walt. Jacqueline ‘s acrylic paintings are a fusion of Impression and Realism, created with loose brush strokes using vibrant hues. Much of her inspiration comes in her studio on Salerno Lake near Minden Ontario, hence the title of this show “Life by the Lake”. James Walt, A.K.A. “The Grumpsy Woodturner” lives in Quinte West. James craftmanship is self- taught; often learning through You Tube different ways to transform wood blocks into bowls and vases. He sees the hidden gems in these blocks and then works to bring them to life. The Featured Member Artist for this show is Dona Knudsen. Dona is an award-winning watercolor artist and a member of two Galleries in Belleville. Her subject for this show “Negative Spaces Positive Places” is nature and includes unique perspectives and interesting techniques to create her enchanting images. and glorious flowers
