Late Summer Show at Gallery 121

Gallery 121 at 48 Bridge St. East in Belleville invites you to attend our “Late Summer Show”. We are delighted to have two Guest Artists joining the Members of the Gallery to present their inspiring art. Bob Pennycook, a mixed media artist, and an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists will join us from Tweed to present his mystical real and imagined landscape paintings. Liz Schell, an artist from Kingston, Ontario, is well known for her whimsical dolls and her carved, curved, painted and re-assembled wood creations such as colourful and decorative boxes, planters and tables. The Featured Member Artist for the Late Summer Show is Ann Fales. Ann is a known locally and internationally by the Fibre Arts Community. Ann finds her inspiration in the tactile images she receives from the fabric. After touching and playing with the fiber she “surrenders to the ebb and flow of the threads” Please join the Members and Guest Artists for a Reception on August 31st between 2 and 4 p.m.

As one of our Parrott Shop artists, you will recognize Lisa’s engaging illustrative style in these mixed media pieces. Lisa‘s work is deeply rooted in her wonder of Ontario’s natural beauty. Of course, her very popular cards and prints will be available to purchase as well. On display in the Corridor Gallery from July 27 to September 14, 2024

Quinte Youth 10 pin Bowling League

Quinte Bowl 17 Roy Blvd., Belleville

Looking for a fun new sport for your child to try? One that is affordable and offers scholarship opportunities? Check out Quinte Youth 10 Pin Bowling League!! League runs Saturday mornings at 9am starting September 7, 2024 and runs until the end of April. We are located at Quinte Bowl-17 Roy Blvd. Belleville Registration is $40 and weekly lineage of $18. Quinte Quilters Guild Quilt Show 2024 – Quilting for the Holidays

Quinte Curling Club 246 Bridge Street West, Belleville

Saturday 7 September 10-5, and Sunday 8 September 10-4. There will be vendors of yard goods, and sewing notions, a bustling marketplace where one can get their holiday shopping done, many gorgeous locally made quilts, home accessories, raffle items and a chance to win a basket by filling out the Quinte Quilters Quiz.

Doors Open Belleville

Get a behind-the-doors look at some of Belleville’s most well-known landmarks and facilities during Doors Open on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Doors Open Belleville is an event sponsored by Heritage Belleville, an advisory committee of the City of Belleville. The event has taken place since 2002 in association with the Heritage Trust and Doors Open Ontario. All the sites are free to visit, with volunteers ready to provide information and a tour of their facility. The Sports Club Expo allows individuals to learn about the wide range of sports and activities available to them, talk to organizations, and easily register for programs. We’ve partnered with incredible businesses and organizations in Belleville and the surrounding areas to make it easy for individuals and families to know about the positive, safe, and supportive spaces in our community.
