Rock Solid Housing Bonspiel

Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings is thrilled to introduce its first annual Rock Solid Housing Bonspiel fundraiser supporting affordable homeownership in our community. The Rock Solid Housing Bonspiel, hosted at Quinte Curling Club, is an early-season bonspiel, including lunch, door prizes and more! Join us and support Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings in providing local families with an opportunity for affordable homeownership in our community.

Quinte Youth 10 pin Bowling League

Looking for a fun new sport for your child to try? One that is affordable and offers scholarship opportunities? Check out Quinte Youth 10 Pin Bowling League!! League runs Saturday mornings at 9am starting September 7, 2024 and runs until the end of April. We are located at Quinte Bowl-17 Roy Blvd. Belleville Registration is $40 and weekly lineage of $18. Novel Writing for Beginners: Interactive Writing Workshop by Joy Lynn Goddard

If you dream of writing a novel but don’t know how to get started join Joy Lynn Goddard for this two-part interactive workshop and learn how to structure your novel, develop characters and turn your ideas into a full length story. Classes take place at Eastminster United Church, 432 Bridge Street East on Saturday November 2 and Saturday November 9 from 10AM until 1PM. The cost is $40 for the two sessions. Gallery 121 – 2024 Fall Show

Gallery 121 is delighted to present our Fall Show with Guest artists Jacquelin Morin and James Walt. Jacqueline ‘s acrylic paintings are a fusion of Impression and Realism, created with loose brush strokes using vibrant hues. Much of her inspiration comes in her studio on Salerno Lake near Minden Ontario, hence the title of this show “Life by the Lake”. James Walt, A.K.A. “The Grumpsy Woodturner” lives in Quinte West. James craftmanship is self- taught; often learning through You Tube different ways to transform wood blocks into bowls and vases. He sees the hidden gems in these blocks and then works to bring them to life. The Featured Member Artist for this show is Dona Knudsen. Dona is an award-winning watercolor artist and a member of two Galleries in Belleville. Her subject for this show “Negative Spaces Positive Places” is nature and includes unique perspectives and interesting techniques to create her enchanting images. and glorious flowers

Quilts of Valour “Sewcase”

National Air Force Museum of Canada 220 RCAF Road, Trenton

Since 2009, Quilts of Valour – Canada Society (QOVC) has presented quilts over 24,000 ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members in recognition of their service and commitment to our country. Volunteer quilters from across the nation sew beautiful, intricate quilts, paying tribute to past and present CAF members. Quilts presented by QOVC are “a hug from a grateful nation”, an intimate gesture to pay tribute to the sacrifice ill and injured CAF members have made in service to Canada. On Saturday November 9th the National Air Force Museum of Canada invites you to learn more about QOVC and their incredible work at this year’s Quilts of Valour “Sewcase”. Local and regional volunteers will be on site sewing, promoting, and presenting their quilts from 10am to 3pm. Learn how you can nominate yourself or a loved one to receive a quilt, or inquire about how you can contribute to their incredible work and help bring comfort to our serving members. —- Date: Saturday November 9 Time: 10:00am – 3:00pm Location: National Air Force Museum of Canada *Regular Museum admission rates apply
