Discover Belleville and the Rotary Club of Belleville are excited to bring back “Touch a Truck” as the feature of the Family FUNfest: Fall Edition this coming Saturday, September 14th, from 10 am to 3 pm, at West Zwick’s Park.
Rotary Club volunteers Paul Fleming & Yakov Sobolev are looking forward to the third year of collaboration noting “this free event is much loved by children of all ages,” and acknowledging that over 8,000 people enjoyed the event last year.
Once again, West Zwick’s Park will be filled with all sorts of specialty vehicles that dig, climb, rescue, crunch, flash and honk!
Over 30 vehicles will be in the park to be explored with special guests from the City of Belleville, Alliance Patient Transfer Inc., K.G. Reid and Willowlee Sod Farms.
There will be a “quiet hour” from 10 am to 11 am to support those who are sensitive to lights and noise so they can enjoy the vehicles in a calm environment.
Throughout the day, children are encouraged to climb aboard and learn how these vehicles operate while their big people can enjoy the vendors at the Pop-ups on the Bay (their final weekend) and joined by family favourites Binge Box & Pink Funnel.
Side Hustle Market vendors may even pop in with local crafters and artisans displaying their wares and NEW this year, Tinkered Decor is bringing the “Trucker Hat Bar” where you can design your very own hat (with a portion of proceeds supporting the Rotary Club of Belleville.
For extra fun, there will be free carriage rides, face painting and balloons with lots of crafts from Family Space and We Thrive!
There will be community displays from Albert College, Children’s Safety Village, Belleville Senators.
This is a free admission event, made possible by Discover Belleville, the Rotary Club of Belleville, Canadian Tire – Belleville and all the “truck” drivers who shared their time.
