Join us for a night of laughter and awareness at our Stand Up for Mental Health™ comedy show! This unique event provides a platform for folks who live with mental health challenges to share their stories through stand-up comedy. Each of the amateur comics – Heather Armstrong, Janet Richards, Luisa Sorrentino, Holly Von Michalofski, Johanna Goodfellow and Kari Fraser – have completed a 6-week comedy training program to develop their set, under the coaching of Mental Health Counsellor and Comedian David Granirer – Founder of Stand Up for Mental Health™. By showcasing their talents and humor, these individuals not only entertain but also help break down stigma. Join our encouraging audience and show your support for mental health awareness, while enjoying a night of hilarious performances. David will emcee the evening from Vancouver (virtually) in this creative and intimate behind-the-scenes show. In the second half of the evening, enjoy honest conversation about the SMH experience and living well with mental health challenges during our panel discussion. This event is hosted by We Thrive Wellness Centre in Downtown Belleville.
